The church was awarded cathedral status in 1962, and it is still very much at the heart of
religious life in the city.
It is free to enter the church. There is, however, a 2.50 € fee to enter the Romanesque Crypt.
The cathedral can be found at Place Sainte-Gudule, close to Gare Metro station.
