Measurement Results
The proposed IR-UWB transceiver SoC has been implemented in a standard 0.18-
μ
×
4 mm as shown in Fig. 15 . The whole
chip is mounted in a QFN80 package and soldered on a PCB board for performance
characterization. Under 1 Mb/s data rate, the transmitter draws an average power
of 0.3 mW and the energy efficiency is maintained at 0.3 nJ/bit up to 10 Mb/s.
