Summary
• Some of our best whole food sources of micronutrients and biostimulants come
from the ocean in the form of sea minerals, kelp and fish fertilizers, and they make
up the basis of my organic foliar fertilizer program.
• Some form of carbohydrate, such as molasses, should be used in every foliar spray
to feed the microbes.
• There are many other products with which you can experiment if you wish, such as
humic acids, soil conditioners, yucca, hydrogen peroxide, enzymes and vitamins.
• Advanced gardeners and farmers may wish to use specific micronutrients to cor-
rect deficiencies found on a test, after taking care of the basics.
• Most of these products can be mixed together with microbial inoculants and water
and sprayed directly onto plant foliage, preferably in the morning or evening.
