The site of the inclined plane .
A Rugby to Leicester railway used to cross here and head towards the 14th century church.
A totem pole stands in a picnic area before Bush Lock and some of the gardens are well dec-
orated, notably one with wrought-iron railings and holders with church-sized candles beside
the canal. Frogs are oblivious.
The B582 crosses Little Glen Bridge and then both road and canal are crossed by the
Leicester to Nuneaton railway. Near Little Glen Lock, 6th century grave ornaments were
found in a Saxon cemetery. Across the valley, Blaby's church is merely 14th century with a
fine 18th century gallery. Blaby Bridge carries the A426 over before Whetstone Lane Lock
and the line of another former Rugby to Leicester railway.
