Navigli & Porta Romana
Corso di Porta Romana runs southeast from the centre past the Universitá
Statale and on to Porta Romana, one of the city gates originally built by
Barbarossa in the 12th century, on the ancient road to Rome. Along with
Navigli, the area is home to the best bars, clubs and live-music venues,
which nestle between grand palazzi and along the edges of the city's
canals.
