SAP HANA combined with Analysis presents your users with the perfect combination of
in-memory OLAP calculations and real-time data retrieval. Analysis combined with BW
on HANA allows your users to add calculations, drill down to details, and analyze data
faster than ever before.
SAP Crystal Reports
SAP Crystal reports is a very common reporting tool that grants developers control of every
pixel and other formatting elements on each report. Two versions of Crystal Reports ex-
ist, SAP Crystal Reports 2013 and SAP Crystal Reports Enterprise. Of these versions, SAP
Crystal Reports Enterprise is capable of connecting to SAP HANA through Java Database
Connectivity (JDBC), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), and through universes on top
of SAP HANA views.
The Enterprise version of Crystal Reports offers more than 40 available charts, as well as
other features such as filters, flash objects, images, and cross-tabs. Because of the highly
granular formatting options in Crystal Reports, the tool is used primarily for fixed-format
reports.

BusinessObjects mobilization
While SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence and SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards allow
users to leverage some mobile capabilities, the most powerful BOBJ mobilization tool by
far is SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio.
SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio
SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio is a full-featured integrated development environment
which can be used by application developers to create web-based and mobile dashboards,
as well as other applications based on your data in SAP BW on HANA. A dashboard cre-
ated with Design Studio is shown in Figure 3.9.
