the second most common dinosaurs in the
Hell Creek and include the very common
Edmontosaurus ( 175, 176 ), excavated in
large numbers from bone-beds in the Ruth
Mason Quarry in South Dakota (Larson,
1985; 164, 165 ), and also Anatotitan, a
recently discovered specimen of which has
been preserved with over 50% of its skin
intact ( 177 ). Their jaws possessed batteries
of self-sharpening cheek teeth for chewing
leaves and twigs.
