Creating a New File
When you create a
New File
, you must tell Photoshop the properties of that file — size, res-
olution, etc.
Photoshop has some built-in Presets for
New Files
, but you are likely to want to create your
own.
Note:
The terms — Files, Image Files, Documents, and Images — are used interchangeably
throughout this topic. Photoshop uses the term Documents, but I feel that the other terms
are more descriptive and easier to understand in many situations.
