3.11.2 Creating and Editing a Path—the Design
Editing Mode
Select the Paths tool to create a path. Make sure the Design editing mode is
selected in the tool options. The Polygonal option should also be checked.
Click the tool on a distinctive point on the image object you want to
outline. Black dots, or “control points”, will appear. Find the next distinctive
point and click again. A line now connects the two anchor points along the
path. This is a segment of the path. Continue setting control points until you
have almost outlined the entire object. Set the last control point near the first.
Then close the path while holding down the Ctrl key when clicking on the first
control point.
