Step Four:
In the previous version of Smart Sharpen, there was an Advanced radio button, and if you
clicked on it, two other tabs would show up: one for reducing the amount of sharpening in
the highlight areas (I never used that one), and one for reducing sharpening in the shadow
areas (I occasionally used this one, but just on really noisy images—it allowed you to re-
duce or turn off sharpening in the shadow areas where noise is usually most visible—but
now with the Reduce Noise slider, I'm not sure if I'll ever use it again). You can still access
both of these features by clicking on the little right-facing triangle to the left of Shadows/
Highlights—just click on the triangle and the two sets of sliders appear (shown here).
