Using Shadows/Highlights Like an Adjustment Layer
Well, it's not technically an adjustment layer, but it acts and performs exactly like one.
When you choose Convert for Smart Filters before choosing Shadows/Highlights , you
get many of the same benefits as an adjustment layer, like being able to go back and adjust
the settings later and having a layer mask. Also, if you double-click on the little adjustment
sliders icon to the right of the name, it brings up a dialog where you can change the blend
mode and opacity; you can click the Eye icon to turn the adjustment on/off; and finally, you
can delete it anytime during your project.
