Water Quality Analysis from Catchment Monitoring Locations
In the drainage catchment monitoring of water quality is conducted at several fixed locations as
mentioned earlier, for the main Drain Edko. At the six pumping stations locations water quality
sampling is recorded since 2001. The following section shows the main selected water quality
parameters recorded at specific locations of pumping stations along the drains (WE02, WE03, WE07,
WE08, WE010, WE011,WB01). Figure (5-19) shows the selected locations along the main drains
Edko and Barseek. The selected water quality parameters are; (pH, COD, BOD, TSS, TDS, DO,
Temp., Turbidity, Salinity, TP, OPO4, NH4, TN, NO3). The sampling locations are divided into three
zones; upstream zone including stations (WE02, WE03, WE07, WE08), downstream Zone including
(WE010, WE011) and Barseek Zone (WB01).
