Haleʻiwa Food Trucks
FAST FOOD $$$
(Kamehameha Hwy [Hwy 83]; meals $8-15; open daily, hours vary)
On the south side of town,
between the bridge and the roundabout, locals debate which food truck in this dusty lot
grills the best shrimp, but most agree
VJ's North Shore Dogs
makes dang good burgers.
Back in the town center,
Roy's Kiawe Broiled Chicken
is another smokin' hot food
truck (open weekends only).
Haleʻiwa Joe's
SEAFOOD $$$
$$$

; 66-011 Kamehameha Hwy; mains lunch $11-19, dinner $19-40;
11:30am-9:30pm)
Scenically overlooking the marina, Haleʻiwa Joe's is, frankly, over-
rated. Some of the fresh catch comes from fishing boats glimpsed outside the windows,
but the execution falls short. Come for sunset cocktails and
pupu
only during happy hour
(4:30pm to 6:30pm Monday to Friday).

gredients.
