Makai is 280 acres divided into
three separate nine-hole courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, each with its own
distinctive personality and scenic flavor. The
Ocean Course
runs out to the magnificent
coastline and offers a signature ravine-contemplating par 3 with an expansive coastal
view.
The
Lakes Course
winds its way around several serene lakes, culminating with a par
5 that tempts all those with valor to go for it in two. The
Woods Course
- the cheapest
and gentlest - meanders through native woodlands. The Ocean and Lakes link up for a
traditional 18 holes.

and semi-private lessons offered daily by the local pro, pick-up games, junior clinics and

) Offering a beautiful ride, even for beginners, their three-hour trip to Kalihi-
wai Falls is pleasant and includes picnicking and a swim. The stables are nestled between
mile markers 26 and 27 (across from the Prince Golf Course), though check-in for all
rides is at the main Princeville Ranch offices. Wear jeans and bring sunblock and insect
repellent.
