Graphics Programs Reference
In-Depth Information
Options Section
The Options section allows you to save the current image name in metadata
for further reference and to have the iles made compatible with other
operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, and Unix.
Preview Section
The Preview section is a very helpful section—it gives you a live preview of
how what the renamed iles will look like. You can also preview how all the
images will be renamed by clicking the Preview button.
Stacking Files
The Stack section gathers the images in one group, which is helpful when
gathering similar iles or a sequence of images when you are in the same
folder. You can convert images to a stack of images by selecting the images,
right-clicking, and choosing Stack > Group to Stack. The images in the stack
appear as one thumbnail. You can change the display of the thumbnail to
show a slideshow of all the images by using the controller that appears
when you maximize the thumbnail preview through the bottom review
slider in the Adobe Bridge bottom sidebar. This feature is very useful for
saving screen space for folders that include many Photoshop iles, and makes
selecting images easy for multiple-image processing, such as Merge to HDR
Pro. Also, you can auto-stack similar images together. You can change the
frame rate of the slideshow presentation by right-clicking the stack and
choosing the frame rate from Stack > Frame Rate.
You also can make the stack thumbnail transparent to show other images'
thumbnails in the stack by choosing Enable Onion Skin: right-click the stack
and choose Stack > Enable Onion Skin.
When you roll over the images stack, you can preview the images using the
small arrow on the top of the stack thumbnail or the slider on the top right.
You can also click the number to extract the stack or click on it again to
restack it.
Save Images as PDF and Web Gallery
You can save the images as PDF pages through Output to PDF or the Web
icon on the top bar. When you click the Output icon, the Output panel
appears with two choices (Figure 3.8). The PDF option allows you to output
the images as a PDF ile, and the Web Gallery option allows you to output
the iles as an interactive web gallery.
When you select an image or multiple images and click the PDF tab in the
Output panel, the PDF output setting displays to let you edit the properties
of the output PDF ile. Through the PDF tab, you can edit document
