5.3.2 Dispersion Conditions - Wind Speed
Average wind speed data is a readily available indicator for dispersion conditions.
Data are available from the notifications of time extensions for some areas, from the
WMO

and MARS datasets

of JRC

and through additional information from the
Member States. From Table

it can be seen that the figures obtained with MARS
25 km
25 km dataset are higher compared to the time extension data (except for
Koˇice).
