Bethe
White Mountains National Forest
. In addition to nearly 100
miles of local trails, the Bethel area provides access to nearly 50
miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the national forest. Snow-
mobiles must stay on marked trails. Routes include the High Peaks Trail
in the former Evergreen Valley ski area in Stoneham near Speckled
Mountain. Park at the former ski area. Trails lead into New Hampshire
and up to Canada.
Rangeley
Rangeley is one of the premier snowmobiling destinations in Maine with
more than 140 miles of groomed trails plus plenty of views and fun desti-
nations. Service and fuel are plentiful. In town, snowmobilers can use
trail network to ride from their lodging place to restaurants/shops, and
nearby parks.
