Use Keyboard Keys to Switch Between Add or Subtract Selection Tool
Options
Many of the Selection tools have the Add Selection or Subtract Selection
options. You can initiate the Add Selection option at any time by pressing
and holding the Shift key. You can initiate the Subtract Selection option by
pressing Option (Mac)/Alt (PC). When pressing either of these keys, wait
a moment for the cursor to change to the initiated option.
Using the Lasso Tool Option
The Lasso tool option creates freehand selections by letting you trace by dragging around
the area that you want to select.
1. In the Photo Editor, open a photo and then click the Expert mode.
2. Click the Lasso tool.
3. Click the Lasso tool option.
4. Click and drag the slider for adjusting the Feather option, as shown in Chapter 6 .
5. Click Anti-aliasing to select or click again to deselect.
6. Click where you want to begin your selection and drag along the object's edge.
