7. When you are finished tracing the object, let up on the mouse button to stop the
drag, and the ending point and the starting point of your selection are joined.
8. Adjust the selection using the New, Add, Delete, and Intersect selection options,
which work the same as the Rectangular Marquee tool option previously covered
in this chapter.
Deselect a Selection with a Keystroke
You can deselect a selection by pressing Command (Mac)/Control
(PC)+D. This is the keyboard equivalent for the Select, Deselect menu
command.
Using the Magnetic Lasso
This tool is similar to the Lasso Tool option, but it automatically detects the object's edge
and lays down a selection marquee along the edge while you drag around the object.
1. In the Photo Editor, open a photo and then click the Expert mode.
2. Click the Lasso tool.
3. Choose the Magnetic Lasso tool option.
4. Click Anti-aliasing to select or click again to deselect.
