How Organizer Handles Editing of Photos
When you open a photo in the Photo Editor that is in your Organizer Cata-
log, that photo is no longer accessible in Organizer. It displays with a red
strip and a lock icon indicating that that photo is being edited in the Photo
Editor. This photo cannot be modified or accessed in Organizer until it is
closed from the Photo Editor.
Workspace of the Photo Editor
In Chapter 5 , Editing Photos with Organizer ” you learned how to make quick edits to
your photos in Elements Organizer. Now let's look at how to use the Photo Editor to make
quick edits. The Quick mode of the Photo Editor is designed just for this—quick fixes.
It has a workspace composed of tools, a Photo Bin, the Adjustments pane, Effects, Tex-
tures, Frames, different Views for the Viewer, and various Tool Options easily accessible
for quickly applying precise enhancements, edits, and modifications to your photos. Open
a photo in the Photo Editor to work through the following instructions.
