Tools Display Last Tool Selected
When you start using the tools in the Toolbox, you might find that the
icons for the tools change. This is due to the sticky interface of Photoshop
Elements. Many tools in the Toolbox have a few different Tool Options
that you can select. For example, the Quick Selection tool has the Quick
Selection tool, the Selection Brush, and the Refine Selection Brush as
Tool Options. If you last used the Refine Selection Brush, the icon for the
Quick Selection tool in the Toolbox will be the icon for the Refine Selec-
tion Brush. This can be confusing at first, but the more you use the Photo
Editor, the more familiar you'll become with the tools in the Toolbox and
their Tool Options.

Working with the Quick Mode Tools
The Quick mode tools in the Toolbox let you edit and modify your photos. The difference
between these tools and the Instant Fix options in the Organizer is that the Photo Editor's
tools are more powerful in what and how they fix your photos, and you have more tools
and Tool Options as well. You also can select an area in the photo and apply the tools to just
that area, leaving the rest of the photo untouched. This section covers each of these tools.
