In-Depth Information
You can continue to add contacts by repeating Steps 5 through 8 until you have invited all the
people you want to give access to your calendar. They need to accept the invite before they can view
the calendar; you can view the status of each invite from the Edit Calendar screen.
The process for sharing a calendar publicly is similar on an iOS device.
1. Launch the Calendar app.
2. Tap the Calendars button.
3. Tap the Edit button.
4. Tap the name of the Calendar you want to make public.
5. Scroll down and set the Public Calendar switch to On (see Figure 7-6), and wait a minute or
so for iCloud to publish the calendar.
6. Tap Share Link when it appears.
7. In the pop-over that appears, tap Mail to e-mail the link to the public calendar, tap Mes-
sages to send it via text message, or tap Copy so you can paste the link into any app you
want.

You can share a calendar publicly with other people from your iOS device.
A public calendar can't be edited by others, but it can be viewed by anyone who has its URL. The
calendar can be accessed through calendar apps compatible with the iCalendar format, including the
Calendar app on iOS devices and Macs and the Outlook app on Windows PCs.
To share a calendar on your Mac:
1. Launch the Calendar app.
2. Click the Calendars button to open the Calendars pop-over.
3. Right-click or Control+click the calendar you want to share.
