The South Plateau Loop heads straight and to the left. Contin-
ue straight and follow the white blazes. The trail is a wide 5-foot
dirt path.
Come to a Y. The Fire Tower Trail heads off to the left. Continue
to follow the white blazes to the right (south).

Cross a stream over a 20-foot-long bridge. When the stream is
flowing, there is a nice cascade here.

Cross a stream over a 10-foot-long bridge.

Come to a rickety old bridge over an intermittent stream and
boggy area. It's best to stay off it and walk around the area on
the right. Just past the bridge there are some views through the
trees of the valley and farms below to the right (southwest).

Pass a nice covered trail shelter. Just after the shelter there are
some outcroppings on the right (southwest).

The Bog Trail comes in from the left (northeast). There are also
two benches here. Continue straight (southeast) and follow the
white blazes.

Come to a Y. The red-blazed Fire Tower Trail comes in from the
left. Take the right fork to the south and continue following the
white blazes.
