the falls in less than 50 feet. Again, be careful on the slippery
rocks. When done, turn around and head back to the Laurel
Falls Trail. Turn right (northeast) and continue on the orange-
blazed trail.
The Campground Trail comes in from the left (north). Continue
following the orange blazes to the right (east).

Pass rock outcroppings on the right. Follow the trail around
them past the campground on the left. Walking behind the
campground, the trail climbs through cuts in outcroppings. In
less than 0.1 mile, come to a Y. The orange trail heads to the
left; the red-blazed Azalea Cascade Trail heads to the south.
Turn right onto the Azalea Cascade Trail.

Come to a T intersection. The trail heads left and right (east
and west). Turn right and continue following the red blazes.
This area is thick with azalea and rhododendron. In less than
0.1 mile, arrive at Azalea Cascade. Cross the stream and falls
over a bridge and come to a T intersection on the other side.
The blue-blazed Lost Falls Trail heads left and right. Turn right
(south) onto the blue-blazed trail. The trail heads uphill past
rock outcroppings and rock shelters on the left (east). The path
is a rock bed at this point.

The outcroppings end. The trail levels out and is a dirt footpath
again. Evidence of past severe storms is very noticeable
through here.

A short, 30-foot side trail to the right (north) leads to the oppos-
ite side of Lost Falls. Continue to the south, following the blue
blazes.

The trail travels alongside the stream that forms the falls on the
right. Cross the stream on a unique log bridge.
