Reach the top of the ridge. The path levels out here. A view of
the valley can be seen to the southeast.

Come to a rock outcropping on the left (southeast). A 30-foot
side trail takes you to a bluff.

Begin a steep downhill walk. Narrows Road can be seen on
your left (south).

Reach the bottom of the incline, cross an intermittent creek,
and start a climb up the other side.

Come out of the woods and turn right onto the paved Narrows
Road. A picnic area will be on your left (west).

Cross the road to the northwest. This is the beginning of the
Highland Trail (there is a sign here). Cross through four yellow
posts (used to keep vehicles off the path) and begin a moder-
ate climb up the hill.

Begin a very steep downhill walk.

Arrive once again at Narrows Road. Turn right (northeast) onto
the road. Turkey Creek will soon be seen on the left (north).

You will start getting your first good look at the rapids of Turkey
Creek to the left (northeast).

Pass a beautiful 30- to 50-foot-wide rapid in the creek and a
view of an upcoming waterfall.
