Databases Reference
In-Depth Information
• To schedule refreshes of report snapshot
• To schedule expiration of report cache or shared dataset to occur
at predefined times
You can create shared schedules for the use of many reports or subscriptions.
Schedule information is stored in the following databases:
• Native mode: Report Server database
• SharePoint Integrated mode: Service Application database
Schedules are triggered by SQL Agent Jobs and processing is based on local server
time. For details about how to create, modify, and delete schedules review the link
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155897.aspx .
There are differences between shared schedules and report-specific schedules.
Shared schedules are system-level items and you require system-level permissions
to create them. Usually, these are carried out by Report Server administrator.
Report-specific schedules are defined on a per report basis (that is in the context of
an individual report, subscription, or report execution). System Administrators and
Content Managers can create and manage any schedule, but if you are planning a
custom role, then for the custom role to create and manage scheduling, the schedule
related tasks must be correctly defined.
