In-Depth Information
The unit of Tombigbee National Forest on the western side of Noxubee National Wildlife
Refuge is unfortunately used mostly for timber and offers few good birding opportunities.
The camping and recreation area at Choctaw Lake, off SH 15 south of Ackerman, offers the
best chance for birds in this small unit of the national forest system.
