positively correlated with water temperature, total suspended solids, soil temperature,
percentage of sand, particle density, and negatively influenced by percentage of clay at the
level of p<0.05 (Appendix B). Available phosphorous (P) found in the soil of the study area
fluctuated in different seasons and it was ranged from 3.92 ±0.66 to 12.00±1.41µg/g. The
minimum value (3.00µg/g) for available P was recorded during winter and the maximum
value (14.00µg/g) was recorded during postmonsoon (Appendix A, Figure 23).
