The search module was implemented using the auto-completion script
available in the
JQuery
library, which works asynchronously and displays
results as a list of terms. In
Protégé
software - ontology editor -, concepts
cannot contain spaces or quotes; they are generally replaced with
underscores as shown on
figure 6
. However, in our topographic domain
ontology, concepts are associated with labels, represented as
OWL
annotations, both in English and French. So, for ergonomic reasons, in our
auto-completion procedure we display these labels instead of the concept
names themselves.
