paired with green beans, roasted potatoes, and golden beets. For starters, don't miss the
terrific house-smoked salmon with horseradish.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS Prime rib may hog the spotlight, but steaks, burgers, and en-
trée salads often outshine the showy star of the menu. Sides such as potato gratin or mas-
carpone polenta are scene-stealers, as are from-scratch desserts.
SUMMARY AND COMMENTS Prime Cut Café does a good job of making first-rate dining
affordable and approachable. Eighty-plus wines sold by the glass, taste, or bottle is an at-
traction for wine lovers, though wine snobs might find the list a bit lowbrow. The menu
offers lots of appetizers and snacks that pair well with wine, making this a great option
for a quick bite or grown-up get-together. The central location means that crowds swell or
recede according to events at nearby Anaheim Stadium, Honda Pond, or even what's hot
at the adjacent multiplex cinema.
SHOPPING at DISNEYLAND
SHOPSADDREALISM ANDATMOSPHERE tothevariousthemesettingsandoffersouven-
irs, clothing, novelties, jewelry, decorator items, and more. Much of the merchandise
displayed (with the exception of Disney trademark souvenir items), though, is avail-
able back home and elsewhere, so we recommend bypassing the shops on a one-day
visit. If you have two or more days to spend at Disneyland Resort, browse in the early
afternoon, when many attractions are crowded.
