Sigatoka town
Central Sigatoka is dominated by Indian traders and several restaurants specializing in hot
curries. It's certainly not a place to stay, but quite a few people visit either en route to some-
where else or whilst visiting nearby attractions. The bus stand and adjacent
market
are rather
grimy, with belching bus fumes lingering in the air and market vendors furiously pushing
their souvenirs on tourists. By contrast, the smart air-conditioned
boutique shops
found fur-
ther along the Valley Road have fixed but somewhat inflated prices.

By bus
Sunbeam Transport and Pacific Transport buses pass through Sigatoka several times
daily on the south coast route.
