This half-day adventure includes a classroom presentation followed by a
shore dive or snorkel. Only three divers or four snorkelers participate, so
the instructor gives each person individual attention. Caren Eckrick, a
marine biologist and certified PADI instructor, teaches students about life
on the reef so that they can better appreciate things they see while diving
and snorkeling. The class and underwater tour cost $45 for divers and $40
for snorkelers.

This PADI 5-star, NAUI, and IDD dive center offers filled tanks 24/365 for
shore diving. In addition, their dive boats leave the resort's marina several
times each day for underwater tours off the east coast and Washington-
Slagbaai National Park. Nitrox is available, and photo/video equipment
may be rented. Certification up to the instructor level is available in Eng-
lish, Papiamento, German, Dutch, and Spanish.
