SAP client copy profiles work on the basis of the different categories of data.

SAP application data is dependent on customizing data. Thus, consistency of application
data is based on customizing data. It is because of this reason that it is not possible to per-
form a client copy of only application data. Either you have to copy all data (customizing
data and application data) using client copy profile SAP_ALL or copy only the customizing
data using client copy profile SAP_CUST. When only customizing data, client copy profile
(SAP_CUST) is used for performing a client refresh; the application data is deleted in the
target client and only customizing data is copied from the source client.
Client Copy Restart Option
The client copy process can fail for any of the following reasons:
• Database space is filled up.
• File system is full and job logs cannot be written.
• Operating system has crashed.
• Database has crashed.
• There are network issues.
If any of these situations arises, the client copy is cancelled and SAP provides a restart
option to continue the client copy after the problem has been rectified. To use the restart op-
tion, issue the SCCL transaction. This will result in the following screen indicating that the
client copy was cancelled and a restart is required.
