Client Copy Profiles
One of the main criteria for setting up a new client is the intended purpose of the target cli-
ent. SAP client instance strategy defines the total number of clients that are called for in
each system and the intended purpose of each. Depending upon the purpose of the target cli-
ent, a Basis administrator creates a new client. The dataset that is copied from the source cli-
ent to the target client will be based on the client copy profile. SAP provides the following
client copy profiles for setting up the client copy. The client copy profile must be selected in
the selected profile field, as shown in a previous illustration.
