Budapest Puppet Theatre ( Budapest Bábszínház ) VI, Andrássy út 69 1 342 2702,
budapest-babszinhaz.hu . One of the most established puppet theatres - it also does shows for
adults.
Kolibri Theatre (Kolibri Színház) VI, Jókai tér 10 1 353 4633, with two other venues
nearby at VI, Andrássy út 74 and 77 kolibriszinhaz.hu . All three Kolibri venues have
shows for children of all ages, but those at the Andrássy út 74 theatre are usually better for
smaller children. Closed early June to Aug .
Millenáris Park Some exhibitions and shows in the various buildings around the site, but
best of all is the large indoor play centre in the Fogadó building. Millipop has activities for
all ages: a big complex of tunnels and slides and climbing frames, interactive and electronic
games, Rubik's cubes and puzzles and pottery painting. Good café on the mezzanine. Daily
10am-8pm.
Muzsikás Children's House TEMI Fővarosi Művelődési Háza, XI, Fehérvári út 47 muz-
sikas.hu . While members of the Muzsikás folk band play, dancers take children (and their
parents) through some basic steps, chanting Hungarian children's songs and rhymes - don't
worry, non-Hungarian children will enjoy the dancing anyway. The venue is a couple of stops
beyond Móricz Zsigmond körtér on trams #18 and #47. Most Tuesdays at 5.30pm Sept-May,
400Ft for children, 700Ft for adults. There is another children's dance organised by Aranytíz
Club .
PlasterAge VII, Gozsdu udvar, near entrance at Dob utca 16 gipszkorszak.hu . Workshops
for children to paint mugs, plates and assorted shapes - part of a new trend across the city. If
you are painting pottery that needs firing, check it will be ready in time for you to take with
you. There's another branch in the Millipop play centre at Millenáris park ; alternatively try
Made by You in V, Király Pál utca 11 ( madebyyou.hu ,) where you can paint ceramics.
