Seville is Andalucía in a nutshell. The
Barrio de Santa Cruz
is all dressed in white,
there are exquisite Islamic monuments such as the
Alcázar
, and the
Catedral &
Giralda
are superb. Throw in some of Spain's best tapas and a thriving flamenco
scene, and you'll find two days here barely enough.

You've seen the pictures of brilliantly white villages clinging precariously to an An-
dalucian hilltop. There are many candidates throughout the region, but none sur-
passes Arcos de la Frontera. Breathtaking from a distance and enchanting within,
this is one place where the reality is every bit as beautiful as you imagined.

Clifftop Ronda is another dreamy Andalucian
pueblo blanco
(white village). The
views from the
Puente Nuevo
are exceptional, but turn around to explore the town
and you'll unearth Arab-era baths, fine churches, Spain's most beautiful bullring and
ancient walls. Terrific accommodation and outstanding restaurants are other Ronda
specialities.
