Figure 21-14. You will need three 3" machine screws to attach the Extruder Mechanism.
If the machine screws are not long enough, you will need to detach the anti-backlash nut from Part
N and pull out the Z-axis Rail Support from the v-groove bearings. After removing this piece, you will
need to remove the two Srong-Tie rails and replace the three bolts with three 3" machine screws, as
shown in Figure 21-15. Also, add a single nut to the bottom two machine screws and two nuts to the top
machine screw (also shown in Figure 21-15). You might also try to remove the nuts from the existing
three machine screws to see if that provides you enough length for the tips of the machine screws to be
exposed for the nuts to be attached.
