Next, before soldering the other end of the lead wire to the other lead, grab another 2” piece of PTFE
wire (we'll call this the extension wire). Insert the stripped ends of both the lead wire and the extension
wire through the other lead's hole and wrap the ends around so they are secured to the lead before
soldering. You can see this in Figure 14-12.
