$12-36), named for its original proprietor, Cody's most beloved madam. When the city
asked her to close her brothel in the early 1930s, Cassie complied, sort of: She opened her
supper club at the west end of town, where it stands today. The atmosphere is dark, the
mood light, the food hearty, and the history rich. It is Cody's hot spot for two-stepping and
has three bars to help lubricate the dancers. It should be stated that Cassie's brothel business
died with her in 1952.
