3. From the Detail | Points menu select
the Set Value tool (or press the < v >
keyboard shortcut). Set Axis to X and
Value to 0 . Then press OK .
The points at the center of your object
should now rest at 0 on the X axis. To check
this, select several of the points along the
center of the head and press < i > to bring
up the Point Info window. The Y and Z val-
ues should say “(mixed)” but the X value
should be 0. (See Figure 14-84.) Press OK
to exit the Point Info window and deselect
your points. Then exit full-screen mode,
returning to Modeler's default quad view.
We'll wrap up this section by mirroring
our object to complete the basic head
model.
From the Multiply | Duplicate menu,
select the Mirror tool. Then press the
< n > keyboard shortcut to bring up the
Numeric panel. (If the Numeric panel is
already open, select the Activate button
from the Actions pop-up menu.) Bringing
up the Numeric panel automatically
activates the tool with the settings shown
in Figure 14-85. With your head model suc-
cessfully mirrored, you can now close the
Numeric window and press the < Space-
bar > to drop the Mirror tool.
