Dominican Jazz Festival

this long-running festival attracts top musical talent from around the country and abroad.
Most of the visiting musicians run workshops for kids; in 2013, Bernie Williams, former
Yankee turned guitarist, taught both baseball and jazz.

New developments are emerging at either end of town and on the inland side of Calle
Principal. The one by-the-numbers all-inclusive establishment is Viva Wyndham Tanger-
ine, which is a few hundred meters west of town.
