In-Depth Information
This menu gives us access to eight categories, which are as follows:
Nature library : Inside this library, we can find several species of trees from
Africa, Europe, and tropical regions. Then, we have several types of grass,
plants, flowers, cacti, and rocks.
Transport library : Here, we can find boats, buses, cars, sports cars,
construction vehicles, trucks, vans, SUVs, planes, air balloons, bicycles,
caravans, motorbikes, and even a wheelchair. We also have trains and
emergency vehicles.
Sound library : As you can see, it is not only 3D models that are available but
also a sound library. These sounds can be used to create a nice environment
for the movies that we will create later. There are sounds from different
locations such as coffee shops, car parks, casinos, construction sites, farms,
ferries, harbors, high schools, museums, and so on. We also have nature
(beach, jungle, forest, park, rain, and so on), things, and people. This is a
valuable asset when well applied, but we will cover this subject in Chapter 10 ,
Creating Walk-through Visualizations .
Effects library : Here, we can find some special effects such as fire, fountains,
smoke, fog, and leaves. Some of these special effects are covered in the
Chapter 7 , Creating Realistic Visualizations .
Indoor library : This is the library where we will find everything we need to
improve an interior scene. We have the assorted objects (from basketballs,
beds, guitars, to shopping carts), decoration items (which include objects
from topics to canvases and pictures), electronics and appliances, food and
drink, kitchen tools, interior lighting, taps, chairs and sofas, cabinets, tables,
and utilities. These interior elements can be used for a commercial project,
such as a restaurant, in an urban environment.
People and animals library : Here, we have people (men, women, and
children), one amazing cat, birds, farm animals, fish, 2D people, and animals.
Keep in mind that in this library, we have five types of objects: idle, walking,
static, 2D cutout, and silhouettes. We will cover some of these objects in
Chapter 9 , Animation Techniques .
Outdoor library : Here, we have elements such as bollards, fences, traffic
cones, and concrete walls to populate exterior scenes. We have flags,
barbecues, basketballs, baseballs, and tennis courts. Then, we have buildings,
construction elements, railway tracks, exterior lighting, benches, deckchairs,
garden tables, traffic signs, containers, postboxes, and waste storage.
Lights and special objects library : This is another library that focuses on
lighting elements and some utilities to improve the lighting in the interior
and exterior scenes. We will cover more about this library in Chapter 6 ,
Lighting in Lumion .
