Once you've found the user name in the Skype Directory, you have to add it to your Skype
contacts before you can make a Skype call.
Small icons show the status of each contact:
•
Online (green): Contact is online and available to talk
•
Away (yellow): Contact is online but away from Skype so they might not pick up
•
Busy (red): The contact is online but busy
•
Offline (white): The contact is offline
•
Landline (phone icon): The contact is on a cell phone or landline. You'll need pay
as you go credit or a subscription to call them
•
Pending (? icon): Contact hasn't yet accepted your contact request
•
Blocked (circle/slash icon): A contact you have blocked
To call a Skype contact, tap the contact to open it, then tap the Phone icon at the upper
right corner of the screen. If the contact accepts the call, you'll be connected and can start
talking.
During a call, you can mute your microphone at any time by tapping the microphone icon.
When you're finished with your call, tap the red phone icon to hang up.
