Taking Screenshots
Screenshots are obviously useful if you're writing a book about Android devices and need
to illustrate your points! But they can be used for fun things too, like emailing a friend a
picture of something you found on your phone. Fortunately Android makes it easy. Just
hold down the power and volume down buttons simultaneously until the device makes a
shutter sound. Screenshots are stored in the Screenshots folder under Pictures, and you can
view and share them with others with the Photos app and other photo viewing apps. When
viewing your screenshots, it can be easy to forget that you're looking at a screenshot, not
the real screen, and then start to wonder why the device suddenly stopped responding to
touch commands. If this happens, you can exit the screenshot by tapping the center of the
screen to bring up the controls for the Photos app.
