Free Books
Play Books
Free books are available from Play Books, usually as time-limited promotions. To see a list
of free books, go to Play Books, then Shop, and scroll down until you see the Read for Free
list of free books- it's usually the last category. Then tap See More.
Kindle Books
Many books are also offered for free in the Amazon Kindle Store, either as temporary pro-
motions, or because they are in the public domain. To find free books, first search for or
select a category of books on the Amazon Book Store on your computer. Then use the Sort
By drop down at the upper right side of the screen to sort by Price: Low to High.
The easiest way to find free and 99-cent books is to use the tools at Kindle Nation Daily:

ings/ .
99-Cent Books: http://kindlenationdaily.com/knd-quality-99-centers-full-list-3/ .
Another great site for free and low-cost books is bookgorilla.com .
Project Gutenberg
Gutenberg.org is the original free book site, predating even the rise of electronic book read-
ers and tablets. Project Gutenberg now has more than 44,000 free books, mostly classics
that are out of copyright and are now in the public domain.
The easiest way to get books from Project Gutenberg is to read it in the free Kindle App.
There are several ways to do this, but these two are the easiest:
On your computer or your device, go to Gutenberg.org , find a book, then download it in
Kindle format. Then email the book to the Send-to-Kindle email address for the Kindle
App on your Android device. When your device is next connected to Wi-Fi or LTE, the
book will be converted to Kindle format and sent to the device.
