Personal Documents
You can email personal documents to the Send-to-Kindle email address associated with the
Kindle app. Amazon will convert the documents and send them directly to the Kindle app
when your device is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or LTE. Personal documents will
show up in the Carousel after a few minutes, and also under Docs from the main menu.
To see and edit your Kindle App address on Amazon.com, go to Your Account, then Man-
age Your Devices. ( http://amzn.to/1cIwHXZ ) Select your Android device from the list to
see the assigned email address. To change it, click on Edit.
To send documents to the Kindle App, email them as attachments to the Send-to-Kindle
email address. You can compress multiple documents in a ZIP file and send them all at
once.
Amazon will only accept emails from approved email addresses. The email used to sign in
to your Amazon account is approved by default, and you can add more email addresses on
the Personal Documents Settings page ( http://amzn.to/1b0zpqs ) .
Amazon can convert documents in the following formats:
Microsoft Word (.DOC, .DOCX)
HTML (.HTML, .HTM)
RTF (.RTF)
Text (.TXT)
JPEG (.JPEG, .JPG)
Kindle Format (.MOBI, .AZW)
GIF (.GIF)
PNG (.PNG)
BMP (.BMP)
PDF (.PDF)
