The distribution of molecules in the region of 0.95 ≤ r ≤ R nm indicates a high
density layer near the wall carbon nanotube. Such a pattern indicates the presence
of structural heterogeneity of the liquid in the flow of the nanotube.
Figure 3.4 shows the scheme of the initial structure and movement of water
molecules in:
(a)

the model carbon nanotube;

(b)

the radial density profile of water molecules inside nanotubes with differ-
ent radii and;

(c)

the velocity profile of water molecules in a nanotube chirality (60,60).
