Head south down Via del Proconsolo and then west to wander through the city's most
spectacular piazza ( Click here ) , viewing the sculptures under the Loggia dei Lanzi and
noting the location of the Uffizi - repository of the world's pre-eminent collection of

Basilica di Santa Croce
Follow pedestrianised Borgo dei Greci to reach your final stop, the huge Franciscan ba-

Galileo and Ghiberti are buried. Ogle Giotto frescoes in the Cappella Bardi and admire
