Start in the territory of Renaissance powerbrokers and art patrons, the Medicis, who com-
missioned a number of self-aggrandising monuments on San Lorenzo's streets. The
greatest is this mausoleum ( Click here ) , partly designed by Michelangelo; it contains
three of his most magnificent sculptures.
