2. DESTINATION DC
This tourism and conventions corporation runs an excellent website, with information
on everything from features on the history of the city to online tours and interactive
maps, as well as events listings and updates on exhibition times, sporting fixtures,
and any expected attraction closures. Its “visitor services specialists” can offer help by
phone and in person at the organization's offices located on 7th St. 901 7th St, NW

3. METRORAIL & CIRCULATOR BUS
Hotels generally have metro information and maps, but the Metrorail's website is also
excellent (for further details see Metrobus and the Circulator ) , and system informa-
tion is displayed in all stations and stops.
4. SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION INFORMATION CENTER
Before you arrive in Washington, the Smithsonian's website is a most convenient
source of information. Once in the city, anyone heading for Smithsonian museums or
the zoo should visit the Smithsonian Information Center, which also provides inter-
esting displays of its own.
